As part of its CSR initiative, Â GM India has gone a step further in ensuring the development of the community where its operations are located.Â Mr. Arvind Saxena, President & MD, General Motors India, today handed over a Cheque for Rs 150,000 to the school authorities at Sankalp School for the education, meals & hygiene of One Class in the presence of other GM India senior leadership. The great initiative is a noble gesture to ensure holistic development of the impoverished children of the school.
GM India reiterated its commitment towards the school run by an NGO â€˜Sankalp Welfare Societyâ€™ in Gurgaon. Apart from financial assistance, GM India has committed full support to the school in the future as well.
GM India has been associated with Sankalp School for last many years now. As part of corporate social responsibility (CSR), GM India has organized activities for the students of Sankalp School including educational training programs, road safety classes and frequent visits to GM Indiaâ€™s headquarters for training and education purposes. It may be recalled that on the occasion of Indiaâ€™s Childrenâ€™s Day on November 14, 2013, GM India donated 91 indestructible â€˜One World Futbolsâ€™ to the children of the school giving the â€˜Power of Playâ€™ to the students who can enjoy the game of football in the school premises
